The San Marco di Calatabiano beach stretches out in the coastal area south of the mouth of the Alcantara river, immersed in an area of high naturalistic value between the mouth of the Alcantara and that of the Fiumefreddo river, well preserved thanks also to the fact that there a coastal road has never been built. It is a sand and pebble beach among the most beautiful in eastern Sicily and a stone's throw from Etna, several kilometers long and bordered by a reforestation of acacias and eucalyptus trees.
