The church of San Luigi dei Francesi is a Catholic place of worship in Rome which overlooks the square of the same name, not far from Piazza Navona, in the Sant'Eustachio district. It has been the national church of the French in Rome since 1589.
The church houses important works including three absolute masterpieces by Caravaggio: the Martyrdom of St Matthew, St Matthew and the Angel and the Calling of St Matthew.
