The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (also known by the acronym LACMA) is an art museum in Los Angeles, California, located on Wilshire Boulevard, along the so-called Museum Row of the Miracle Mile, next to the Page Museum and La Brea Tar Pits.
LACMA is the largest encyclopedic museum in the United States west of Chicago, with nearly one million visitors a year and more than 10,000 works of art, ranging from prehistoric to contemporary art. The museum often organizes art exhibitions, conferences, screenings and concerts.
