Lake Garda is an ideal scenery and a perfect place to practice water sports as windsurfing, sail boating and canoeing, but also for motorboat trips and for other disciplines as for example fishing and diving.
The hinterland, with its various landscape, invites to long bicycle and mountain bike trips, to horse riding, tennis playing, climbing, paragliding and golfing. Nature lovers can enjoy long walks on the surrounding mountains. In winter, it is even possible to ski on Monte Baldo, in Malcesine. Thanks to the long-lasting mild climate in Lake Garda, excursions and sports activities are practicable throughout the whole year.
The northern part of Garda, narrow between the surrounding mountains, is famous for its constant winds which makes it a superb place for windsurfing, kitesurf and sailing.
Besides sailing and windsurfing that have made Lake Garda famous throughout the world, there are plenty of other sports you can do. If you love nature and greenery, you can go on splendid excursions around the lake and plateaus, go horse riding to discover the most isolated corners of Garda, or you can relax with a game of golf. Mountain bike enthusiasts can venture along the over 1000 km of marked trails and the more athletic will find around Arco one of the best destinations for free climbing areas in Europe. If you want to get a different view of the blue lake, try underwater diving to discover the treasures in its depths, or take flight on a paraglider from the top of Monte Baldo to admire the incomparable beauty of Lake Garda.
