Un capolavoro dell'architettura islamica Mosque of Ibn Tulun

La Moschea di Ibn Tulun è una delle più grandi e antiche dell'Egitto. Fu costruita tra gli anni 876 e 879 d.C. da un governatore abbaside inviato in Egitto da Baghdad. Detta "moschea del venerdì", il suo cortile su un arco aperto è grande abbastanza per contenere l'intera comunità maschile riunita per le preghiere nel giorno più sacro della settimana.

One of my favourite mosque in Cairo. It's so old, large and unique. We can go up and see the city from the top. But, we should pay to go up and have limit time. Good moment to go is when the sunset will be happened. It's amazing scenery. From the top, we can see the roof of mosque and mosque of Muhammad Ali. Although it's little bit dangerous on the top but it's worth it. Just br careful! Unfortunately, the mosque can't use for pray.
