Abdeen Palace (Arabic: قصر عابدين) is a historic Cairo palace, one of the official residences and principal workplace of the President of Egypt, located above Qasr el-Nil Street in central eastern Cairo, Egypt. In 1998, some rooms at the rear of the building were opened to the public and used as a museum, hence the name Abdin Museum with which this building is often associated. Unfortunately, the rooms that everyone would like to see, such as the Byzantine Salon, frescoed in an "Egyptizing" art-deco style, are not open.
