The Donnafugata castle is located in the territory of the municipality of Ragusa. The manor was one of the most important centers of social life of the Umbertine age, the sound name derives from the Arabic and means, in fact, source of health. From here you can guess the splendor present in the castle.
The richness of this castle you will find in the 120 rooms that compose it, these still retain the original furniture of the time. The hall of coats of arms, with the coats of arms of all the Sicilian noble families and two ancient armours, is absolutely worth seeing. But the strong point of the castle remains the 8-hectare monumental park, in which there are artificial "caves" with fake stalactites and the particular stone labyrinth built in the typical dry-stone masonry of Ragusa. Very particular is the fact that in the park there are some "jokes" that the baron arranged to brighten the days. The castle has been used as a set for some films including "The Leopard"
