The two most primitive and authentic Aeolian islands, Alicudi and Filicudi are a true oasis of peace in contact with nature.
Alicudi and Filicudi. The first, in fact a now extinct crater, is the most isolated to the west of the Archipelago of Fire, it is a perfect truncated cone. The second, more rugged and rocky, with features made of vertiginous coasts, modulated by caves, stacks, inlets, and islets, is more elongated thanks to the promontory of Capo Graziano. Twin sisters by vocation, these two islands are one of the last landing places where the balance between man and nature has remained crystallized. Just think that the electricity grid in homes arrived just twenty years ago. The best way to enjoy them is obviously by boat. But even just equipped with legs, the experience is indescribable.
