It is in a magnificent position, Montefiorino, overlooking the Dragone valley. It is an area of great scenic but also historical beauty, in memory of the partisan republic, the first piece of Italy freed from the anti-fascists.
The fortress, on the highest part of the town, in sandstone and granite ashlars, built by the Montecuccoli in the 11th century, in defense of the nearby Frassinoro Abbey, is very beautiful and well preserved. Also beautiful is the excursion to the parish church of Rubbiano, five kilometers away, solitary and imposing, which dominates the Dolo valley, parallel to that of the Dragone. Inside, the parish preserves a splendid marble stoup by the Maestro delle Metope (12th century), with sirens and harpies.
