The Gonzaga residence is a majestic set of buildings built over the centuries and kings, from the Bridal Chamber to the Hall of Mirrors, everything is absolutely unmissable.
The heart of the marvelous city of Mantua, declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco, beats in the Palazzo Ducale, the official residence of the Gonzagas, which offers a fascinating profile to the city on Lake Inferiore and partly overlooks the vast Piazza Sordello, with over 500 rooms, gardens and squares, works of art by Pisanello and frescoes by Giulio Romano, an altarpiece by Rubens and, in the nearby Castle of San Giorgio, the famous Camera degli Sposi, with the famous cupid angels, frescoed by Mantegna between 1465 and 1474, in honor of Ludwig and Barbara of Brandenburg.
