It is one of the largest and most famous marine caves in Italy: Neptune's cave is one of the places to visit at least once in a lifetime. It is located inside the Porto Conte park and you will reach its entrance by means of a stairway, the Escala del Cabirol (the Scala del Capriolo in Catalan): 656 steps that wind around the west ridge of Capo Caccia up to the mouth. You can access it more comfortably by sea, with boats departing every day from the port of Alghero or from the Cala Dragunara pier in Porto Conte, thus enjoying the glimpses that the rocky walls overlooking the sea offer.
