Parco di Molentargius

Nature Reserve Sardinia, Italy

See the pink flamingos of the Parco di Molentargius

The Molentargius Saline Regional Natural Park, established in 1999, is a wetland of international value among the most important in Europe, a rare example in the world of an ecosystem present in highly anthropised areas but an ideal habitat for many animal species, including the flamingo.

If you have enough luck to encounter flamingos, it's worth every second you spend here. Special place in Cagliari.

The park is home to pink flamingos. While we were driving by, we saw maybe one, two or three flamingos feeding on the wetland. Maybe it's not the perfect time of the day to see tens or hundreds of the magnificent birds. Check this park out when you are visiting Cagliari, it could be your lucky day :-)
