Among the most fascinating and mysterious places in Salento, included among the ten most beautiful natural pools in the world, this natural cavity was discovered in 1983 and is now known to the natives as a destination for spectacular dives during the lively Salento summer.

The Grotta della Poesia derives its name from "posia", a term from the Greek language of the Middle Ages which means "fresh water source", a clear reference to the source that once flowed inside it, whose signs are still visible today.
