Villa Medici is an architectural complex located on the Pincio hill next to Trinità dei Monti in Rome. Since 1803 it has housed the French Academy in Rome. It is the highest point in Rome.
Its structure with lateral turrets is simple on the façade and richly decorated on the back by the Florentine Ammannati with stuccos, bas-reliefs and statues. The splendid garden retains much of its original charm with hedges and flower beds separated by straight paths.
