The Palatine Hill is one of the seven hills of Rome, located between the Velabrum and the Roman Forum, and is one of the oldest parts of the city. The site is now a large open-air museum and can be visited during the day. The entrance is in via di San Gregorio, or you can go up the Palatine Hill by entering the Roman Forum and then going up from the Arch of Titus.
Between legend and reality, surely today the Palatine hill is one of the most evocative places in the city, home to the homes of the ruling class of ancient Rome and the gardens of the Farnese family, today the Palatine is a real open-air museum. The vestiges of the past are, in fact, immersed in the greenery of rich vegetation that extends along the slopes of the hill, from which one can enjoy sweeping views of the entire archaeological area below. The view from the Roman Forum is particularly beautiful.
