Porta Adriana is located between Via Cavour and Piazza Baracca, close to the historic center of the city. In 1545 it was moved and rebuilt by the Cardinal Legate Capoferro, and was rebuilt in 1583 in its current form. On the sides of the gate there were originally two semicircular crenellated towers; in the 18th century they were replaced by two square bastions, still present today, which exceed the gate by about 20 metres. At the side of the same there is a roof garden.
