Among the first ever to be built in the British capital, with its 183 meters, it was until 1990 the tallest building in the United Kingdom. Today it is the third tallest skyscraper in the City and the eighth tallest in the entire City of London.
Home to financial companies, offices and businesses, it also houses a restaurant on the 24th floor, while the famous Vertigo 42 is located on the 42nd level, a well-known and elegant stylish champagne bar that offers a breathtaking panoramic view over the whole of London. Built between 1971 and 1979 for the National Westminster Bank under the name of NatWest Tower, the tower, seen from above, resembles the bank's logo. The building, designed by architect Richard Seifert and designed by engineer Pell Frischmann, was inaugurated on 11 June 1980 by Queen Elizabeth II.
