Buckingham Palace has been the official residence of the British Sovereigns since 1837 and, to date, also the Administrative Headquarters of the British Monarchy. In the summer season, in the Queen's absence, the State Apartments are open to the public.
From 22 July to 1 October, when the famous palace is not used in its official capacity, the public can visit otherwise inaccessible spaces such as the State Apartments, the heart of the monarchy. You can visit the exclusive rooms furnished with the best treasures from the Royal Collection, including paintings by Rembrandt, Rubens, Poussin and Canaletto, sculptures by Canova and Chantrey. The time for the visit is approximately 2 hours.
