The Rocca di Lonato (or Castello di Lonato) is a fortified building overlooking the town of Lonato del Garda, in the province of Brescia. Built starting from the 10th century, it has always been considered strategic from a defensive and military point of view. Under its walls in 1797 the bloody Battle of Lonato was fought between the French army, under the command of Napoleon Bonaparte and the Austrian army.
Around 1920 the structure was bought by Senator Ugo Da Como and is currently owned by the foundation that bears his name.
