Il Mercato di San Miguel (Mercado de San Miguel) è un mercato coperto situato a Madrid, in Spagna. Originariamente costruito nel 1916, è stato acquistato da investitori privati nel 2003 che hanno ristrutturato la struttura in ferro e l'hanno riaperto nel 2009. Il mercato di San Miguel è il mercato più popolare di Madrid tra i turisti poiché si trova nel centro di Madrid, a pochi passi da Piazza Maggiore. Il mercato non è un tradizionale mercato di generi alimentari, ma un mercato di tapas gourmet, con oltre 30 diversi venditori che vendono un'ampia varietà di tapas, prosciutti, olive, prodotti da forno e altri alimenti preparati al momento. Sono disponibili anche birra, vino e champagne.

What a great experience. The building is beautiful and the atmosphere electric. Seating was a bit tricky, you just have to be very quick and ruthless :). When seated it's best to take turns to have a look at all the food stalls and choose what you want so you don't lose your place. The choice of food is good and in my opinion excellent value. I would really recommend it but getting seated between 2 and 3.30 is difficult. Enjoy

You can find just about any kind of food to suit your fancy here. It’s like a supermarket with ready to eat food of all types. The only complaint is that there are too few places to sit. I recommend ding your seats first, then take turns ordering your own food and drink or something to share. Say hello to those next to you or across from you. You’ll have fun!

This place is totally amazing. It rained so we came here. I wasn't excited about it, but should have been. It's like a food court if they had all the best stuff. One guy has seafood, one has ham, one had produce. They all have tapas. So you go and get a glass of wine or a cocktail, or whatever and then you wander and snack. The best thing we ate was king crab and caviar over little french fries. Yes I like the fancy stuff, but there's regular stuff there too.
