The Camino de Santiago de Compostela is the long route that pilgrims have taken since the Middle Ages, through France and Spain, to reach the sanctuary of Santiago de Compostela, where there is allegedly the tomb of the Apostle James the Greater. The French and Spanish roads that make up the itinerary have been declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. It is roughly (depending on the trail and training) a route of 800 km for the duration of 1 month.
