The Pink City of Petra, the capital of the Nabataeans, Jordan, is one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world, it is located 240 km south of the capital Amman and 120 km north of the city of Aqaba. At the end of the siq - a narrow and winding gorge more than a kilometer long, flanked by steep rock walls 80 meters high - the Treasury, Petra, suddenly stands out, the famous tomb carved into the rock which has become a symbol of all of Jordan. The imposing façade, 30 meters wide and 43 meters high, is pale pink which at that hour merges with the shades of the sky and the silence that envelops the whole scene.
