The Leshan Giant Buddha (樂山大佛T, 乐山大佛S, Lèshān DàfóP) is the largest stone Buddha statue in the world (71 meters tall). It is carved into the rock where the Minjiang, Dadu and Qingyi rivers confluence, near the city of Leshan in the southern part of Sichuan province, China. The sculpture is placed in front of Mount Emei, with rivers flowing at its feet.
