A crossing of about 70 km inside the Nebrodi Park near the mountain crest of the largest protected area in Sicily, along the Sicilian Apennines.
It is a path on foot or a mountain bike that extends from east to west for almost 75 km, on a total altitude difference of 2300 meters. During the journey, which lasts 3 days, stops are made in some municipalities of the park such as Mistretta and Floresta. The difficulty of the route is quite high, and you have to face several hours of walking (approximately 7 hours a day) and daily altitude differences of 700/800 metres. The variety of environments, landscapes, flora and fauna that can be observed during the trek is extraordinary: majestic and very thick woods (Pizzo Fau, Mangalaviti, Serra del Re beech woods), botanical rarities (Tassita wood), wetlands of great interest and charm (Maulazzo, Biviere, Cartolari, Trearie), spectacular panoramic points (only some of the most beautiful: P.lla Pomiere, Monte Pelato, P.lla Biviere, P.lla Testa). The inhabited centers of reference are Floresta, to the east, the highest municipality in Sicily (1272 m a.s.l.) and Mistretta, to the west (950 m a.s.l.).
