The nature reserve, included in the municipalities of Avola, Noto and Syracuse, has the purpose of preserving the various riches of its territory from a from a naturalistic and archaeological point of view, given that the whole area has been inhabited over the millennia and there are tombs and artifacts left.

The area is characterized by the course of the Cassibile river which has dug deep gorges or canyons over the millennia. You will be able to immerse yourself in spectacular nature and enjoy the crystal clear and icy water of the quarry and then lie down in the warm Sicilian sun on the rocks. This place is enchanting, and once you reach it you will never want to leave it! Experience the lush vegetation among plane trees, poplars, holm oaks, brambles, and some splendid spring blooms!
