Water puppets are the cornerstone of a traditional Vietnamese show. Originally from the villages of the northern Red River Delta region, today's water puppet theater is a modern adaptation of traditional performances dating back to the 11th century. As in other traditional Vietnamese performances, the show begins with a musical attack, creating a joyful atmosphere.
The orchestra, unlike the original show, is now made up of professional musicians.
