Nguyen Hue Street is a wide promenade in the center of District 1. This pedestrian area is lined with some French colonial architectural marvels such as the People's Committee, the Rex Hotel and a luxury shopping mall. In front of the People's Committee, there is a statue of Ho Chi Minh and a beautiful fountain.
