Ganh Da Dia is a coastal area characterized by evenly connected basaltic rock columns. The area is about 100 meters wide and 250 meters long, made up of about 35,000 columns of basaltic rocks. These boulders were created by volcanic eruptions millions of years ago, when streams of molten basalt met cold water, solidified and shaped these rare polygonal formations due to thermal contraction effects.
Ganh Da Dia was enlisted as a national heritage site in January 1998 by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam.
