The Hanoi Opera House is an opera house in the city center. It was built by the French colonial administration between 1901 and 1911. It was modeled after the Palais Garnier, the older of Paris' two opera houses, and is considered one of Hanoi's architectural landmarks. After the departure of the French, the opera house became the scene of many political events.
The Hanoi Opera House offers the names of the nearby Hilton Hanoi Opera Hotel, which opened in 1999, and the MGallery Hotel de l'Opera Hanoi, which opened in 2011.
