The Scaliger Bridge (also known as Castelvecchio Bridge) is a superb example of fourteenth-century military engineering that extends over the Adige River starting from the Mastio Tower, located in the center of the Castelvecchio complex. It is a magnificent bridge with three arches, fortified and crenellated, which perfectly integrates and completes the defensive system of the great medieval manor.
