Queen Elizabeth Park is a 130-acre municipal park located on Vancouver's Little Mountain. Prior to European settlement, the park was an old-growth forest and spawning ground for salmon. Its surface was marked in the early twentieth century when it was quarried for its rock, which was used to build Vancouver's first roads.
