The Stupinigi hunting lodge is a residence, originally used for the practice of hunting, built for the Savoy. The work, built on a project by Filippo Juvarra, was begun in May 1729 and was completed in 1733. The site, which is part of the circuit of Savoy residences in Piedmont, has been proclaimed a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. The building is located in the locality of Stupinigi (fraction of Nichelino), on the south-western outskirts of Turin, which is about 10 kilometers from the historic center.
