Old Town (Zità Vecia in Trieste) is the historic center of Trieste, with about 2000 inhabitants. Composed of three districts, Cavana, San Giusto and the ancient Jewish ghetto, it is the historic center and the oldest urban settlement of Trieste. Together with the districts of Borgo Teresiano and Barriera Nuova it is part of the IV district.
