Grotta Gigante

Cave Trieste, Italy

This cave is located in Borgo Grotta and is a perfect example of underground karst nature, it is present in the Guinness Book of Records as the tourist cave with the largest room in the world. Just to give an idea of the impressive dimensions of this cavity: one of the rooms of the cave called the "Great Cave" is 98.50 meters high, 167.60 long and 76.30 wide. The deepest point reached by the tourist route is 101.10 meters deep.
