The Imperial Palace in Tokyo is the main official residence of the Emperor of Japan. The building is located in a small park located in the central Chiyoda district, near Tokyo station. Within the complex there are various structures including the Kyūden palace, the private residence of the imperial family. Collectively, the 23,000 m² mansion and grounds have previously been valued at more than the value of all California real estate.
