Tokyo Disneyland (東京ディズニーランド romaji Tōkyō Dizuniirando) is the first amusement park opened in Asia by Disney. The park itself is located within the Tokyo Disney Resort, on the outskirts of the Japanese capital, and is well known for the surprising originality of its attractions, many of which have spectacular water features. The park constitutes a not indifferent tourist impulse to the capital and is also by far one of the largest amusement parks on the planet. In 2013, Tokyo Disneyland hosted 17.2 million visitors, making it the second most visited theme park in the world, after Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
