Sensō-ji

Sensō-ji (金龍山浅草寺 Kinryū-zan Sensō-ji?) is a Buddhist temple complex located in the Asakusa district of Tōkyō, Japan. It is the oldest temple in the city, and one of the most important. Once a member of the Tendai sect, it became independent after World War II. Near the temple is Asakusa Shrine.
