Riddarholmen

Island Stockholm, Sweden

Riddarholmen is a small islet in central Stockholm, Sweden. The island is part of Gamla Stan, the old city, and is home to a number of private mansions dating back to the 17th century. The main landmark is the Riddarholmskyrkan church, used as Sweden's royal burial church from the 17th century to 1950, and where some of Sweden's first monarchs are also buried.
