Gardens by the Bay is a 101-hectare reclaimed park located in central Singapore, adjacent to the Marina Reservoir reservoir. Gardens by the Bay is part of a Singapore Government strategy to transform Singapore from a 'Garden City' into a 'City in a Garden'. The declared objective is to improve the quality of life by increasing the greenery and flora of the city.
Gardrens by the Bay consists of three waterfront parks: Bay South Garden, Bay East Garden, and Bay Central Garden. The park is quite popular, with 6.4 million visitors in 2014 and had its 20 millionth visitor in November 2015.
