An absolute must for medieval history buffs. The Fortress is still today very well preserved and well managed.
The Fortress of Bardi has been perched for more than a thousand years on a spur of red jasper, at the confluence of the Ceno and Noveglia streams, and represents the best example of military architecture in Emilia. It houses the Museum of Valligiana Civilization and the new Museum of Fauna and Poaching. Since 2014, the Artillery Bastion built by Manfredo Landi the 'Magnificent' in the 15th century can be visited, so far never open to the public.
