It means 'painted sea'. The signature on the painting is of nature itself, author of a masterpiece enhanced by skilful artistic brushstrokes with a thousand shades of blue-emerald that contrast with the green of the surrounding hills. There could be no more appropriate name. The stupendous Mari Pintau beach is the pearl of the Quartu Sant'Elena area: it is located along the curves of the panoramic road to Villasimius, about twenty kilometers from the center of Cagliari, in the tourist resort of Geremeas.
