Kamiros was one of the three ancient cities of Rhodes which reached its heyday in the 6th and 5th centuries BC. thanks to its highly evolved rural economy. The ruins of the city and the nearby necropolis were discovered in 1859 in a very green region. The sumptuous public buildings, the Agora, the temples.
