Piazza dei Miracoli

The Piazza del Duomo is the most important artistic and tourist center of Pisa. Listed among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 1987, you can admire the monuments that form the center of the city's religious life, called miracles (by Gabriele d'Annunzio in 1910) for their beauty and originality: the Cathedral, the Baptistery, the Campo Santo and the bell tower. From this derives the popular name of Piazza dei Miracoli which then spread after the war, in the era of mass tourism.
