Borgo Stretto is the most elegant street in Pisa. The most expensive shops and boutiques are located here, under its arches. There are nice bars and the best pastry shop ever: Salza. Try it!!! During the Christmas season, the neighborhood hosts a Christmas market where you can buy lovely Christmas decorations and statues for the nativity scene ("Presepe"). A plaque above Caffè Settimelli indicates that Galileo Galilei was born in the house on the first floor. At the end of Via dei Mercanti, in the San Francesco district, there is an incredible spaghetteria, Le Bandierine.
