The Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park is a park located about 50 kilometers north of the city of Puerto Princesa. Since 1999 the park has been included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, while in January 2012 it was included among the new seven natural wonders of the world. The park is located in the Sao Paulo mountain range, and is characterized by a karst, limestone landscape with a navigable underground river for 4.5 kilometers of its length.
