Intramuros, (from the Latin: intra, inside and muros, wall) or in Spanish la Ciudad Morada (the Walled City), is a Philippine municipality forming part of Manila. It covers an area of just under half a square kilometer and is inhabited, according to 2010 statistics, by around 5,000 people. The neighborhood is bordered to the north by the Pasig River, to the east and south by Luneta Park and to the west by the long Bonifacio Drive which runs parallel to the sea of Manila Bay.
