The Monastery of Santa Caterina is a monastery of nuns of the second Dominican order, located in Arequipa, Peru. It was built in 1579 and was extended in the 17th century. The monastery of over 20,000 square meters was built mainly in the Mudejar style and is characterized by brightly colored walls. Currently, there are around 20 nuns living in the north corner of the complex, with the rest of the monastery being a paid tourist attraction.
