Ollantaytambo is a town in Peru located 75 km northeast of Cusco. The name of this Inca fortress means inn of Ollantay, or the name of a warrior. Going up the stairs that climb the terraces dating back to the Inca era, you get to the heart of the temple, of which only a few perimeter stones remain. At the foot of this fortress, a town develops, the departure station for the train that leads to Aguas Calientes, the last outpost before ascending to Machu Picchu.
