Largest lake in South America Lake Titicaca

Lake Titicaca is a deep lake in the Andes on the border between Bolivia and Peru. The lake is composed of two almost separate sub-basins connected by the Strait of Tiquina; by volume of water and surface area, it is the largest lake in South America. Lake Titicaca is often referred to as the "highest navigable lake" in the world, with a surface elevation of 3812 meters.
