Trollstigen (The Trolls Staircase translated into English) is a mountain road near Rauma, south of Åndalsnes, in Møre og Romsdal County. The construction of this road started in 1928 and finished 8 years later with the inauguration of Haakon VII. Currently the Trollstiegen has a length of 12.2 kilometers, 11 hairpin bends, and only one lane for almost the entire route.
